Eating a whole foods, plant-based diet is more than a diet, its a lifestyle.  It will not happen over night and it will be hard to make the change on your own.  Take advantage of some of the resources below designed to help you take your first steps to living a whole-foods, plant based lifestyle.  

There is already a strong movement of people in North Lawndale who are committed to a healthy lifestyle. The menu at The Green Tomato Cafe offers many options for one making the transition to a whole foods, plant-based lifestyle.

Instead of stopping at McDonald's, Taco Bell, or Chinese Kitchen, support a local business while taking care of yourself! 

It may be difficult to switch to a whole foods, plant-based diet all at once.  Follow our blog and try some of our challenges that are designed to help you get started.  

 

It's also hard to do alone.  Use our blog as a network of support where you can add your own comments, seek advice for obstacles you are facing, and celebrate your successes!  

There are many organizations that are already promoting not just a whole foods, plant-based diet, but healthy lifestyles in general.
